James Isom
Founder & President
James Isom founded ISOM Company and built it into a commercial real estate development and consulting platform active across the United States and Canada, leading more than $2.8 billion in projects and transactions across acquisition, development, redevelopment, and disposition. He has delivered some of the central region's most significant industrial projects — including rail-served, build-to-suit manufacturing at the Port of Little Rock that brought global manufacturers to the US market for the first time — guided by a principle that has defined the firm since its founding: collaboration over ego, delivered on time and on budget.

Andy Talbert
Head of Real Estate
Andy Talbert leads ISOM Company's real estate platform, originating and structuring the firm's industrial pipeline from site selection through capital formation and disposition. His focus is powered land — utility-, water-, and energy-ready sites for data centers, advanced manufacturing, and logistics — and the capital structures that bring infrastructure-intensive projects to market. Over nearly two decades he has built and scaled development platforms across the central United States, working at the convergence of energy, infrastructure, and real estate, and bringing deep institutional and family-office relationships to every deal.

Ethan Dursteler
Head of Government Affairs
Ethan Dursteler leads ISOM Company's government affairs function, managing relationships with municipalities, economic development authorities, ports, and public agencies, and guiding projects through entitlements, incentives, and the public-private partnerships that bring infrastructure-intensive sites to market. His career spans public policy and government affairs, including a coordinator role with the National Football League and legislative staff work in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is central to ISOM's build-to-suit strategy, helping foreign manufacturers establish their first US operations — and having lived in Korea for several years, he speaks Korean and offers a direct line into one of the most active sources of inbound industrial investment.

Mark Peterson
Head of Acquisitions
Mark Peterson leads acquisitions for ISOM Company, sourcing and underwriting the land and development opportunities that feed the firm's industrial pipeline. He has spent his career at the intersection of institutional capital and real estate development, partnering with investors across the full spectrum — from the largest private equity firms and national homebuilders to regional and local developers — to evaluate projects and shape strategy, giving him a clear view of what works and where the next opportunities lie. A former practicing attorney, Mark brings legal discipline to diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation.
